We are now accepting nominations for new Officers for the Term of 2020-2022. These positions include President, Vice President, and Secretary-Treasurer.
The following information is in reference to the Nominations window, qualifications, and responsibilities for Clayton County Education Association Executive Officers for the election year of 2020-2022. The official five-day window for Nominations/Declarations for CCEA Executive Officers begins today, Monday, May 11th through Friday May 15th at 5:00 pm. The executive officers are President, Vice President, and Secretary-Treasurer.
To personally declare or nominate someone, an email MUST be sent to the CCEA Elections Chair, Sylvia Gardiner between the dates and end time stated above (Monday, May 11th through Friday May 15th at 5:00 pm). The email address for the Elections Chair is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Per the CCEA Constitution, Article IV, Section 1, all nominees for officers shall be current members and have been members of the local Association for at least two years immediately preceding the election. Also, per the CCEA Constitution, Article V, Sections 1, 2, and 3 list the duties of all three executive officers. I will provide a copy to any candidate that is interested in reviewing the duties. In addition, the office of CCEA President will NO LONGER be a full or part-time position. This means that all executive officers will be completely voluntary and with NO salaries. Additional information regarding the actual election date will be determined after the close of the qualifying window.
